    Actually, the prospect of your weight falling into the normal range and not endangering your health is more easily obtained at first than kept for longer later. What happens after you get over with your slimming diet? To avoid any weight gain after you end a diet, it is essential to have in mind a number of recommendations. By paying attention to what you eat, you will ensure a healthy weight throughout your entire life!

    Turn exercise into a habit! A normal weight throughout life may be maintained by a strict control of food, but for good health plus a toned and young body, exercise is vital. Experts say it’s not important the type of physical activity you take, as long as it becomes a habit and it’s practised, therefore, it becomes regularly. With regular exercise, you not only ensure a healthy weight, you also reduce the risk in heart and circulatory diseases.

    There are a few diets that strictly urge you to calculate the number of calories they contain food consumed daily. Although it may be a good idea in short term, in long term, such a practice can become frustrating, exhausting and counterproductive. If you want to have a healthy weight all your life, experts recommend you not to count calories in food thoroughly, but pay special attention to the size and content of meals.

    Foods rich in fiber, fruits, vegetables and whole grain based products, are key elements in maintaining a healthy weight throughout life. The explanation is that this kind of food triggers and maintains the state of fullness for longer, compared with other food groups. Nutrition experts believe that a healthy weight and good health can be maintained by eating 4-5 types of fruits or vegetables every day.

    If foods, high in fiber, are present in high amounts in your diet, then different recommendations apply when we talk about carbohydrates. For a healthy weight throughout life, there should be a limited consumption of carbohydrate foods because they increase your blood glucose levels and, consequently, the amount of insulin, the hormone responsible for the formation of fat deposits secreted by the pancreas. If you neglect this, sooner or later, your best option would only be a fat reduction procedure.

    Finally, remember that good health and a healthy weight can be maintained until old age by eating a balanced diet and good quality proteins, vitamins and minerals. For example, foods rich in protein such as chicken, fish and eggs, help to cope with uncontrolled appetites, while minerals contribute to the metabolism of processing carbohydrates, fats and proteins!
